A gray cloud is hovering over my little section of the world. For the last four years, I have listen to the melodic voice of Isaiah Sheffer, co-founder of NYC's Symphony Space. As many of you may know, Mr. Sheffer also hosted a radio broadcast of noted actors reading masterful works of short fiction. I think each of the Selected Shorts episodes have passed through my iPhone earbuds at least twice. During that time, I found laughter, tears, drama and melancholy lessons I will hold onto for the rest of my life. I just wanted to take a moment to thank Isaiah Sheffer for his work, compassion, ironic humor and pioneering vision. You will me missed and my condolences go out to your family and loved ones. Mr. Sheffer passed in his home on Thursday, November 8th, 2012, from stroke complications at age 76.
